Free community baby shower, resource fair to be held at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital Tuesday

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Expectant parents and growing families in Fort Bend County are invited to a free community baby shower and resource fair at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital on Tuesday.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the hospital’s Sweetwater Pavilion – NEAL Family Conference Rooms ABCD on the first floor, located at 16655 Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land.

The free event is designed to connect expectant parents and their support persons with health care professionals and community partners who can provide education and resources focused on maternal and infant health and safety.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about:

• Breastfeeding support from lactation consultants
• Infant safe sleep practices
• Safe baby wearing demonstrations
• Car seat safety demonstrations and guidance from the Sugar Land Police Department
• Additional maternal and infant health resources for growing families

Parking will be available in front of the hospital and in the Sweetwater parking garage.
