3 rescued after store collapse in Porter

PORTER, Tx – Porter Fire Department crews responded to a structure collapse at a gas station on FM 1314 at Lazy Lane, shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters assisted three uninjured persons in evacuating the store. A Montgomery County Structural Collapse Team — including units from The Woodlands, North County, Magnolia and Conroe — was requested but later canceled after everyone was safely removed from the building.

The Montgomery County Hospital District, MCESD 7, and Pct. 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden’s office also assisted at the scene.
