Universal Kids Resort opens in Frisco

Seven themed areas bring favorite characters and stories to life

FRISCO, Texas – Parents, there is now a theme park here in Texas made for kids ages 3 to 8!

“Today’s an exciting day for all kidkind as we officially open Universal Kids Resort,” Page Thompson, president of New Ventures for Universal Destinations & Experiences, said in a press release. “Every aspect of this park was designed with kids in mind, and it’s amazing to see the smiles on their faces as they enjoy all that Universal Kids Resort has to offer.”

The Universal Kids Resort, located in Frisco, is Universal Destinations & Experiences’ first regional theme park. It features seven themed areas that highlight popular characters and stories.

These areas are:

  • DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
  • Jurassic World Adventure Camp
  • Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
  • Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
  • DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
  • DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
  • Isle of Curiosity, featuring DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse

A 300-room hotel is at the entrance of the park, and rooms can fit up to six guests. An array of family-friendly amenities are available and dining options can please even the pickiest eaters.

Multiple ticket and experience options are available for guests.

Ticket options include:

  • 1-Day General Admission, $54.99
  • 2-Day General Admission, $73.99
  • 1-Day General Admission + Coca-Cola Freestyle Souvenir Cup: $69.99
  • 2-Day General Admission + Coca-Cola Freestyle Souvenir Cup: $101.99

The Troll-ify Me! Experience transforms guests into their favorite characters from the Trolls movies, including Branch, Poppy and Guy Diamond. The experience is $25 per person.

For the ultimate Universal Kids Resort experience, guests can book the Private VIP Experience, a 4-hour guided tour of the park that gives guests priority access to attractions and entertainment, as well as exclusive benefits. The experience is $999.99 per person.

“Universal Kids Resort offers a completely unique experience to what we have at our other destinations - introducing a younger generation to Universal fun crafted just for them,” Molly Murphy, president of Universal Creative, said in a press release. “We set out to develop a park that invites kids to splash, play, dance and laugh with some of their favorite characters.
