The recall was voluntarily initiated by the company on May 19, 2026, and later classified by the FDA as a Class II recall, meaning exposure to the product may cause temporary or medically reversible health effects.

The recalled items were distributed across 21 states, including:

  • Texas
  • Alabama
  • Florida
  • Georgia

Health officials are urging consumers not to eat the affected product. Instead, they should:

Food safety experts warn that consuming metal fragments can potentially lead to:

  • Dental damage
  • Mouth or throat injury
  • Internal lacerations if swallowed

No injuries have been publicly reported in connection with the recall as of now.

Rich Products Corp. has not reported widespread illness linked to the product but issued the recall out of an abundance of caution after identifying the potential contamination risk.

The FDA continues to monitor the recall and advises consumers to stay updated through its official recall database.

Texas shoppers who recently purchased frozen Farm Rich pizza snacks should check their freezers and follow recall instructions to avoid possible injury.
