The man got into an altercation with a woman he’d actually known since elementary school, and at some point during the argument, he was stabbed. He managed to get out of the apartment but only made it about 100 yards before he collapsed.
Neighbors came out to help while they waited for firefighters and paramedics to arrive. He was rushed to the hospital but didn’t survive.
His half-sister told KPRC 2 he and the woman had been arguing before things turned violent. Three kids were inside the apartment when it happened, though police aren’t sure if any of them witnessed what happened.
The victim himself leaves behind a 3-year-old child.
Police are trying to figure out what sparked the argument and led to the stabbing. The knife has not been found.
