GALVESTON, Texas – Drivers with outstanding parking tickets in Galveston will have a limited-time opportunity to reduce what they owe.
The City of Galveston Municipal Court will offer a parking citation amnesty program from May 1 through May 29, 2026.

During that time, all late fees and collection fees on eligible citations will be waived.
Officials said the program is intended to help people resolve unpaid tickets and bring accounts into compliance before further enforcement action.
The amnesty applies to delinquent civil parking citations issued between Jan. 1, 2007, and April 9, 2026, that include late or collection fees.
Participants could save between $18.75 and $312.50 per citation, depending on the violation.
People must contact the municipal court to obtain a discounted total before making a payment. The phone number is 409-765-3740.
Payments can be made in person, online or by mail if received or postmarked by May 29 at 4 p.m.
The court accepts cash, cashier’s checks, money orders and major credit cards.
The municipal court is located at 601 54th St., Suite 300, and is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
