Driver with rifle shoots man multiple times while he sits inside his vehicle in north Houston

HOUSTON – A man is dead after police said he was found shot multiple times inside a vehicle in north Houston.

Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on Laura Koppe Road and Bertwood Street around 9 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 30s shot multiple times inside a vehicle.

According to witnesses, someone in an SUV pulled up to the man while he was sitting in his vehicle and got out with a rifle and started shooting.

The man was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
