A deadly crash Tuesday morning led to lane closures along U.S. 290 in northwest Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the incident occurred around 3:36 a.m. on the eastbound U.S. 290 exit ramp near Windfern Road.

Investigators say a sedan, possibly a Mazda CX-5, crashed into a divider under unclear circumstances.
Details about how many people were inside the vehicle have not been released, and it remains unknown whether the driver was the sole occupant.
Police confirmed the crash was fatal but have not yet shared the identity of the victim.
Units from the department’s Vehicular Crimes Division responded to the scene and have launched an investigation into what caused the crash.
As a result of the incident, the eastbound lanes of U.S. 290 were shut down for several hours.
The feeder road, however, remained open to traffic.
No additional information has been released as the investigation continues.
