Driver killed after high-speed Cadillac hits two 18-wheelers in northeast Houston, HPD says

Police say the Cadillac went underneath a truck exiting a private drive, then struck a second 18-wheeler

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating a fatal crash involving two 18-wheelers and a passenger vehicle late Friday night.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers were called to the 6200 block of Wallisville Road around 10 p.m.

Witnesses told investigators a red Cadillac CTS was speeding when it went underneath one of the 18-wheelers as the truck was exiting a private drive. Police said the truck passed through the Cadillac, causing significant damage.

Investigators said the Cadillac then struck a second 18-wheeler before coming to a stop. The driver of the Cadillac, the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Intoxication is not suspected for either of the 18-wheeler drivers. The crash remains under investigation by HPD.
