Teen killed, another in critical condition after shooting in Sharpstown

Police said no arrests have been made

HOUSTON – A teenager was killed and another is in critical condition after a shooting in Sharpstown.

The Houston Police Department said there was a fight in the parking lot of a venue on South Gessner Road near Harwin Drive at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

They said someone started shooting.

Officers found a man, believed to be 17 to 19, shot in the upper body and said he died at the scene.

A second man was shot in the stomach and taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Investigators are questioning several people at the venue.

No arrests had been made.
