1 biker killed, teenage biker airlifted after bikes collide with pickup truck in Pasadena

PASADENA, Texas – A deadly crash involving a pickup truck and two riders on small two-wheeled vehicles left one person dead and another seriously injured Monday night in Pasadena.

The crash happened around 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of San Jacinto Street and Queens Street, according to initial reports from the scene.

Investigators say the collision involved a pickup truck and two riders on what are believed to be either mopeds or electric bikes. One rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

Video from the area showed the victim covered by a white sheet near the pickup truck.

A second rider, believed to be a young teenager, was critically injured and transported by Life Flight to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been officially released.

Witnesses told authorities that the rider who died appeared to be a man in his 30s.

It remains unclear what led up to the crash, including how the pickup truck and the two riders collided.

There has been no immediate word on the condition or involvement of the truck driver.

Pasadena Police Department officers are on the scene conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
