Manor Street crash happened early Sunday morning, deputies searching for white car

A man in his late 40s to early 50s was struck and killed by a white vehicle while pushing a cart on Manor Street in east Harris County early Sunday morning, according to authorities. (OnScene, Copyright 2026 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man is dead following a crash in east Harris County on Sunday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies got a call around 3:16 a.m. referencing a pedestrian, late 40s to early 50s, who was hit by a vehicle in the 500 block of Manor Street.

Emergency medical personnel were administering aid to the pedestrian when deputies arrived.

Witnesses told authorities the pedestrian was walking southbound on Manor Street and pushing a cart before he was struck by a white vehicle, carrying him about 50 feet from the impact.

Authorities pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.

HCSO Lt. Roosevelt Berry said they are looking for the white vehicle, possibly a sedan.

This is an active investigation.
