ROSHARON, Texas – A 70-year-old man reported missing from Brazoria County has now been identified as the victim in a homicide case after investigators located a body at a Rosharon construction site, according to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said deputies were sent to the man’s home in the 4000 block of County Road 564 Monday evening after relatives and others became concerned when they couldn’t reach him and said the lack of contact was out of character.

Once deputies arrived, officials said what they saw at the property raised enough concern that homicide investigators and forensic personnel were brought in.
The search expanded with help from volunteer group Texas EquuSearch. Investigators said that effort led them to a job site near Magnolia Parkway on Wednesday morning, where they found a deceased man. Officials said the body appeared to have been intentionally concealed.
On Friday, the sheriff’s office said the victim was confirmed to be Ricardo Garza.
Investigators have identified 47-year-old Juan German as their main suspect. The sheriff’s office said German is already being held in jail on an unrelated matter and that, working with the Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office, detectives plan to file a murder charge.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is continuing and more details will be released as they are confirmed.
