Man dies after being shot, making it to nearby store for help in north Houston

A man is dead after a late-night shooting in north Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police were called around 11 p.m. to the 15900 block of West Hardy Road. Investigators say the victim, believed to be around 30 years old, was shot one time.

Despite his injuries, the man was able to make it down the street to a nearby store, where employees called 911 for help.

HPD began treating the victim at the scene until Houston Fire Department crews arrived and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition. Police said the man was later pronounced dead.

At this time, investigators say there is no information about a suspect or a motive in the shooting.
