According to a charging document filed with the Harris County District Clerk’s Office, Hailey Hedspeth has been charged with two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

The affidavit says the children eventually disclosed the alleged abuse to a parent, a physician/medical staff, and a Child Protective Services caseworker. Investigators allege the abuse happened over several years, beginning in 2017 and continuing through early 2023, when the two victims were 12 and 13 years old. Court records state the alleged abuse started while she was babysitting the children and living in a guest room at their home. The allegations came to light after the mother of the boys reported seeing one child on indoor cameras going in and out of the room where the defendant was staying.
Police say their investigation began after one of the minors made an outcry then which was reported to CPS, prompting a joint review by CPS and the Houston Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit.
According to investigators, the boys said Hedspeth would tell them to “come cuddle” with her and that they would go up to her room, where she would touch them inappropriately and engage in sexual relations with them. Court records indicate one of the boys told investigators they were concerned Hedspeth was having sex with other teens because “she is a teacher”. KPRC is working to determine if that is part of any police investigation.
Court documents state both teens later provided statements to investigators during forensic interviews conducted at a children’s advocacy center.
Police initially paused the investigation at the family’s request, but the case was reopened in 2025 after the children’s mother contacted investigators and asked that the case move forward, records show.
Hedspeth has denied the allegations, according to investigators.
