The event is intended primarily as a listening session for parents, students, educators and community members impacted by possible campus closures and boundary changes.
Lalani is also expected to provide a brief legislative context on public school funding.
The meeting comes as Fort Bend ISD reviews survey feedback on a proposal that could close seven elementary schools and redraw attendance boundaries across the district. Recent survey results showed mixed views, with many families raising concerns about walkability, overcrowding and the impact on special education and bilingual services.
