HOUSTON – An 18-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in a north Houston home on Sunday morning, according to police.
Houston Police said the shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Granville Drive.
Responding officers said they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
In their preliminary findings, police said the suspect is believed to be the ex-boyfriend of a person who lives at the residence. Police said the suspect arrived and began firing rounds at the home.
Several people were inside at the time of the shooting.
Police said all the occupants dropped to the floor when gunfire began, except for the victim, who was struck.
At this time, police do not know the relationship between the suspect and victim, or the other occupants.
