Man dies after being shot, crashing car into parked vehicle, home garage

A man is dead after crashing his vehicle into a parked car and a residential garage in northwest Harris County, according to authorities.

The driver first crashed into a parked vehicle before slamming into a garage at the location.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies responded to the 3400 block of Pinechester Drive, near Veterans Memorial Drive and West Greens Road.

Investigators reported that the vehicle involved appeared to have multiple bullet strikes. The driver also appeared to have sustained at least one gunshot wound.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Crime Scene Investigators and Homicide detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are responding to the scene and working to determine what led up to the incident.
