Wanted suspect believed to be barricaded inside San Leon home

SAN LEON, Texas – Law enforcement in Galveston County are out at a home in San Leon where a wanted suspect is believed to be inside.

Galveston County Sheriff Jimmy Fullen says deputies are out at the home near the intersection of 18th Street and Bayshore Drive.

Law enforcement has been at the home since about 3 p.m., when they attempted to serve a warrant.

The suspect is wanted on charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated assault. Fullen says they do not believe anyone else besides the suspect is inside the house.

Fullen says tear gas has been used on the home three times. Based on information from family members, Fullen says the suspect may be armed.
