Deputies responded to the mall, located in the 29300 block of the Northwest Freeway, on Jan. 20, 2026, after receiving a report from the Sunglass Hut store.

A store employee told deputies that a male suspect entered the business, selected multiple pairs of sunglasses, and ran out of the store without attempting to pay for the merchandise.

The total value of the stolen items was reported to be $1,573.

The suspect was later identified as Orlando Garcia, 31.

Authorities say Garcia is currently wanted through Harris County on a theft charge related to the incident.

“If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement agency,” Constable Herman said.
