Dirt bike rider dies after colliding with pickup truck on Northwest Freeway

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal crash on the Northwest Freeway feeder road in northwest Harris County.

According to HCSO, deputies responded to the scene at the 25900 block of the Northwest Freeway westbound feeder road near Spring Cypress Road.

The crash involved a pickup truck and a mini-bike.

The rider of the mini-bike was pronounced dead at the scene.

Our Sky 2 Chopper was over the scene of the wreck, observing a heavy presence of first responders and law enforcement.

Traffic is impacted in the area, with only one lane of the westbound feeder road currently open.

No additional information about the victim has been released.
