Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies were involved in a brief vehicle pursuit that ended with a crash involving a school bus carrying dozens of children, officials said.
According to HCSO, the pursuit lasted approximately five minutes and began near the Eastex Freeway and Lee Road.

The driver of the fleeing vehicle was identified as a 17-year-old teen.
The vehicle involved in the pursuit was reportedly stolen. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez also confirmed that a stolen gun was recovered from the car.
Deputies say the chase ended at the 14200 block of the Eastex Freeway service road on the east side of the freeway, where the fleeing vehicle slammed into an Aldine ISD school bus.
The bus was carrying 28 children at the time of the crash.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene, and four of the children were transported to a hospital with minor injuries. The remaining students were evaluated at the scene.
No further details about potential charges or the condition of the suspect were immediately released.
The incident remains under investigation.
