Tamez is accused of making the threats on Roblox, an online gaming platform, on Jan. 14 and a concerned citizen called to report it to administrators at North Shore High School.

Screenshots of the handwritten messages shared on Roblox were part of the investigation, according to court records.

Tamez allegedly wrote: “I will shoot up the school (NSHS) on 1-18-2026 ... I am dangerous someone stop me. There are nail bombs in the rotunda. I will pop the kids.”

In another screenshot, investigators said Tamez allegedly wrote: “I will kill minors and rape dead bodies LOL.”

The Texas Department of Public Safety’s Fusion Center helped investigators find an IP address associated with the messages, records show, which led them to Tamez’s address.

Tamez denied making the threats when investigators knocked on his family’s door, according to records, and “responded in a cocky manner and requested to see the IP address for comparison.” He also told investigators that if he admitted to the offense, he would be arrested, records show.

Police got a warrant on Tuesday, records show, and took him into custody Friday morning. Records show Tamez’s bond has not yet been set.
