Woman arrested for arson, accused of targeting boyfriend’s family home in Cypress

An 18-year-old woman is facing felony arson charges after allegedly setting fire to her boyfriend’s mother’s home in Cypress.

Rachel Alexis Amoss, 18, was taken into custody and is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Authorities said the alleged arson happened while Amoss was already out on bond for a domestic violence case against her boyfriend.

Amoss also faces a separate family assault charge, for which she was previously out on a $500 bond.
