Suspect shot, killed by deputy in east Harris County

HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a deputy shot a person Thursday afternoon in east Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
HCSO deputies responded to a call for service in the 15900 block of Ridlon, near Sheldon Road.
Details on what led up to the shooting has not been released but the HCSO says two fired their weapons at the suspect.
Gonzalez said no deputies were injured. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
