2 people shot after argument during t-shirt sale escalates into gunfire in SW Houston

HOUSTON – Two people were shot Friday after an argument during the sale of a t-shirt escalated into gunshots at an address in southwest Houston.

Houston Police responded to the 8000 block of Cobblefield Lane, which is located in a neighborhood just off of W. Bellfort Avenue. The original call was for a possible drive-by shooting.

Police say one of the shooting victims arrived at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital by private vehicle. The person who transported the victim in the private vehicle has been detained for questioning.

Friday evening, KPRC 2 learned there was a second person who was shot in the incident who also is believed to have arrived at the hospital by private vehicle.

Police say they learned the shooting happened when two people met two other people for the sale of a t-shirt on Cobblefield Lane. There was an exchange of words that escalated into gunfire. One buyer and one seller were shot and injured during the shooting.

We are told one of the victims is in critical condition.
