Argument during game of basketball leads to 1 man shot at park in The Heights

HOUSTON – A man has been taken to a hospital after he was shot during an argument at a park in The Heights area of Houston.

The shooting happened at Cottage Grove Park in the 2100 block of Arabelle Street around 4:20 p.m.

Police arrived and transported the man to a hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries.

Officers learned there were several men playing a game of basketball at the park when an argument broke out.

One of the men playing pulled out a gun and shot the victim before fleeing in a black sedan.

An investigation is underway.
