Body found in San Antonio belongs to missing 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, authorities say

Investigators found a firearm near the body.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Authorities confirm a body found Tuesday afternoon during a search is 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, according to KSAT.

Mendoza Olmos was last seen near her northwest Bexar County home on the morning of Christmas Eve. Since her disappearance, deputies, family members and volunteers had been searching around the clock.

According to our sister station KSAT, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said the body was discovered about 10 minutes into the search at the Burnin’ Bush landscaping company, located a few hundred yards from her residence.

Investigators said a firearm was also found near the body.

Salazar added that the clothing on the body matched one of the descriptions of what Mendoza Olmos was wearing when she went missing.

A medical examiner ruled her death a suicide.
