HOUSTON – A Harris County Grand Jury will review evidence over a shooting in EaDo that killed a man on Wednesday.
Sebastian Jimenez, 33, was identified as the deceased man by the Houston Police Department on Friday.
Police responded to reports of the shooting Wednesday evening on Scott Street where they found Jimenez with a gunshot wound. Paramedics took Jimenez to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
As police investigated further, they learned the shooting happened on nearby Denver Street. They said the shooter remained on scene and claimed self-defense after Jimenez pulled a knife on him.
After presenting the evidence to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, it was determined to refer the case to a Harris County Grand Jury.
