Multiple Agencies Respond After Small Plane Crashes in Galveston Bay
A Mexican Navy plane on a medical support mission reportedly crashed into Galveston Bay Monday afternoon, prompting a large response from first responders, including the U.S. Coast Guard, Texas DPS, and local agencies. Mexican officials say the aircraft was transporting a burn patient and others as part of a coordinated humanitarian mission when it went down near the Galveston Causeway. At least five people are confirmed dead, one is missing and presumed dead, and two survived, with visibility issues from fog possibly complicating rescue efforts.
Bodies Found in Houston Bayous
Houston police are investigating multiple deaths after at least two bodies were discovered near area bayous Monday morning, including one pulled from Buffalo Bayou and another found on the bank of a separate bayou. The finds come as 33 bodies have now been recovered from Harris County bayous in 2025, with many cases still not fully explained. Authorities haven’t released identities or causes of death yet, and an autopsy is pending on at least one of the victims.
Instacart Ends Controversial Pricing Program
