39-year-old Houston firefighter dies after battle with cancer

HOUSTON – The Houston Fire Department says a 39-year-old firefighter has died following a courageous battle against cancer.

Firefighter Brandy Allinience died on Tuesday after her fight against what is believed to be cancer related to her service with the fire department.

Allinience joined the Houston Fire Department in 2014 and was most recently assigned to Station 21/B. During her career, she also served the citizens of Houston at Stations 29, 52, 73, and 28.

Funeral services for Allinience are pending.

“We ask the community to keep Firefighter Allinience’s family, friends, and her fellow firefighters in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time,” the department said. “Firefighter Allinience, we’ll take it from here, sister.”

Firefighters will escort Allinience’s body from the Texas Medical Center to Klein Funeral Home at 1400 West Main in Tomball Wednesday afternoon. The procession is expected to begin just after 5 p.m.
