Angleton ISD employee flown to hospital after being hit by school bus while walking to work

ANGLETON, Texas – An employee at Angleton Independent School District was flown to a hospital Tuesday morning after being hit by a school bus, according AISD.

The employee was walking into work at the transportation center when an AISD bus stuck them.

Officials said emergency personnel were called immediately and the injured employee was Life Flighted to a hospital to determine the severity of injuries.

Routes were temporarily delayed in picking up students as emergency personnel handled the accident, but all bus routes still ran Tuesday morning, official said.

This is the second day in a row where AISD experienced an accident involving one of its school buses.

District officials said on Monday afternoon, its bus hit a vehicle on FM 521 at Sally Lake Road. No injuries were reported in this accident, and the students who were boarded on the bus during the time of the accident were safely taken home by parents or on another bus brought to the scene.
