Driver hits man crossing road in Northeast Harris County

HOUSTON – A man was injured when a driver hit him in northeast Harris County.

The sheriff’s office said a woman was driving south on JFK Boulevard near Sandydale Lane at about 9:15 p.m. Friday.

Deputies said a man crossed in front of her, without a crosswalk and she hit him.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.

Deputies said the woman stayed at the scene and didn’t show any signs of intoxication.

“There will be no charges at this time, but this is the first night of the investigation. We’ll attempt to answer every reasonable question before we present this for any potential charges,” said Sgt. Turman
