Clear Creek High School has now allowed students to reenter the building after its students and faculty were ordered to evacuate Friday morning following a bomb threat.
FBI Houston confirmed they were made aware of “multiple threats.”

Police Statement
LCPD released the following statement to KPRC 2:
“There was only one bomb hoax made this morning in League City for Clear Creek High School. Officers responded and assisted GCSO Deputies with clearing the school. No bombs or suspicious items were located. Students and faculty were then allowed to reenter the school.
The caller called the LCPD non-emergency line this morning at 7:41am."
In a separate statement to KPRC 2, LCPD also said the caller for this morning’s threat demanded $10,000 in ransom when they called the police department.
They also acknowledged similar circumstances in “previous calls this week,” but it’s unclear if the other calls also happened in CCISD.
FBI Houston Statement
FBI Houston sent KPRC 2 reporter Bryce Newberry the following statement:
“Good morning Bryce! FBI Houston is aware of the bomb threats made to multiple locations in Galveston County over the past several days, including today. Our local law enforcement partners remain the lead for this situation, but we are in regular contact with them, and we stand ready to assist if requested.”
Earlier this morning, the district reportedly sent out an update on the situation to parents.
2 Investigates reporter Mario Diaz was sent the following message from a parent of a Clear Creek HS student:
“CCISD UPDATE: Although a bomb threat to Clear Creek High School is believed to not be credible, students continue to stage outside. We are not able to facilitate student checkouts at the time. We will continue to update you regularly.”
Other bomb threat allegations
Shortly after the evacuation happened, KPRC 2’s Michael Horton spoke with source connected to the Clear Creek HS faculty who contacted KPRC 2. The source said that teachers were aware of “as many as 10 threats regarding bombs made to CCISD campuses over the past week.”
League City Police Department refuted the allegations of “10 bomb threats.” The department said the only bomb threat received at a CCISD school this week was this morning — not 10 at campuses all week.
In the context of statements from LCPD since this source reached out, it appears that the teachers were mistaken in isolating the threats to CCISD alone, although officials in League City and Galveston County have reported other bomb threats and similar incidents.
