Ground delays have been announced due to staffing issues at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport.
The ground delays were both put into effect at 1 p.m. The delay at Bush is slated to last until 10 p.m., while the delay at Hobby is scheduled until midnight.
The Bush ground delay is averaging 45 minutes, while the Hobby ground delay is averaging an hour and 20 minutes. Bush also has departure delays averaging 45 minutes.
This is the latest in a string of chaotic airport situations due to staffing issues related to the government shutdown.
