The Harris Co. Sheriff’s Office said its deputies were called just before 9:30 p.m. to an apartment on Aldine Bender for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, deputies found a large group of people gathered, but no gunshot victims.
Minutes later, investigators said they learned the victim, an unidentified man in his late 20s, was taken to Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
It’s unclear exactly how the shooting unfolded, but preliminary information indicates the man was playing dice in a common area. An argument then broke out with at least one other man, and things escalated, and he was shot multiple times.
