HOUSTON – Authorities are looking into what led up to a woman’s death Monday night in northwest Harris County.

It happened around 9:15 p.m. when deputies were called to Woodland Oaks and Shady Grove Drive and found a woman at the end of a cul-de-sac. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez identified her as Kaylee Taylor, 26.

Responding deputies at the scene said she had suffered from at least two gunshot wounds, but there were about nine shell casings near her body and a red Mercedes nearby.

No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but Sheriff Gonzalez confirmed on X Taylor’s death is being investigated as a murder.
