Man shot, killed near Moore Elementary in NW Harris County

A man was shot and killed Thursday night near Moore Elementary School in northwest Harris County.

Deputies said people first stopped, thinking the man had been hit by a car, before realizing he had been shot.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. near the 13700 block of Lakewood Forest Drive, at the intersection of Cypresswood Drive and Aspenway Drive.

No other details about the victim or the circumstances of the crash have been released.
