League City 18-year-old accused of having child porn on cell phones

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – Investigators with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a League City teenager after they said an investigation found evidence of child pornography on cell phones seized from a home.

Authorities say the investigation started in June when the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

On Friday, authorities executed a search warrant at a home in League City and seized cell phones from the home. The investigation revealed evidence of child pornography on the devices.

Raul Zamudio, 18, has been charged with possession of child pornography younger than 10 years of age. His bond has been set at $60,000.

Alongside the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) - Galveston, League City Police Department, La Marque Police Department, Dickinson Police Department, La Porte Police Department, Pearland Police Department and Hitchcock Police Department also assisted in the investigation.
