HOUSTON – CommuteAir, the company which operates flights for United Express, says a flight to Panama City, Florida was forced to return to Bush Intercontinental Airport after a potential maintenance issue.
The company says CommuteAir Flight 4969, operating as United Express, returned to the airport shortly after takeoff Wednesday.
While the company has not disclosed what exactly the issue was, they said the flight landed safely back at the airport and passengers have deplaned at the gate.
A new aircraft is being prepared to operate the flight to Panama City.
