Man found dead with gunshot wounds in Willis home

A 64-year-old man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in the early morning hours of Saturday in a Willis home.

Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Willis Police Department responded early Saturday to a welfare check at a home in the 500 block of East Marlin Street.

At approximately 4:20 a.m., first responders discovered a man dead inside the residence with apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim has been identified as Anthony Scott.

Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder.
