Three Harris County partners are set to speak at tomorrow’s online meeting. KPRC 2 reached out to all of them to get more information on what they plan to talk about.
Meteorologist at Harris County Flood Control District, Jeff Lindner, said he’s going to give us the latest forecast for the rest of this year’s hurricane season. He will also touch on flood preparedness, insurance options, and flood warning systems.
Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator at the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, Brian Murray, says he wants people to understand that emergency preparedness requires year-round attention, not just during hurricane season.
He is going to emphasize the need for residents to establish multiple ways to receive emergency alerts, and to have an action plan on how to react once they are received.
