Man seen in wild viral TikTok video ramming truck into parked cars in north Houston facing felony charges

HOUSTON – A man who was seen in a now-viral TikTok video slamming his truck into several parked vehicles outside a club in a north Houston parking lot is now facing five felony charges.

Christopher Tuggle, 49, has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of criminal mischief.

According to court documents, on July 12, Tuggle intentionally drove his truck into eight vehicles in the parking lot of Club Mesquite, located in the 5900 block of the North Freeway, causing at least $60,000 in damages.

Later that afternoon, Tuggle went to a Houston police station and filed a robbery report, claiming he had been at Club Mesquite just after midnight—the same time the incident occurred. He told officers that he was being robbed by three men and rammed his vehicle into another while trying to escape.

However, investigators found no evidence that a robbery took place at that location during that time.

Tuggle surrendered to the court Monday morning.

A woman, who goes by the name, Gemini, told KPRC 2 Reporter Corley Peel she was in her car with a friend when they felt the impact from Tuggle’s truck.

“He backed up and hit the car next to me and then that’s how we were smushed in,” said Gemini. “We were nervous and scared for our life, honestly. Because we were trapped. There was no way to get out.”

Gemini said she had never seen the man before. Some of the cars that were hit were totaled. Gemini’s car is drivable, but she said the damage will cost her.

“There’s really no accountability. Who’s going to pay for all the damages? Because I’m pretty sure the insurance is it,” said Gemini.
