Former La Marque city manager arrested on arson, fraud charges
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Joshua Pritchett, the former city manager of La Marque.
Authorities conducted a felony stop at FM-1138 and State Highway 66 just before 3 p.m. Saturday.
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office said the operation targeted Pritchett who was reportedly hiding in the Royse City/Fate City area of Rockwall County.
Pritchett was taken into custody without incident.
La Marque Police had expected Pritchett to turn himself in after five warrants were issued for his arrest.
He faces charges of arson and falsifying job applications. His bond was set at $80,000 and he posted bail Saturday night.
Pritchett resigned from his position earlier July.
