A community prayer vigil will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in Town Center to honor the victims and families affected by the catastrophic Texas Hill Country flooding that swept through Kerr County over the Fourth of July weekend.
The deadly floods along the Guadalupe River have claimed at least 43 lives, displaced numerous families, and left several still missing, including a beloved Humble ISD teacher Jeff Wilson. Wilson died in the flooding while his wife Amber and son Shiloh remain unaccounted for.
Wilson was a 30-year veteran teacher at Kingwood Park High School and an avid rodeo competitor, with his son earning recognition as the 2024 Junior Rodeo Association World Champion.
