Driver killed after crashing car into construction truck on East Freeway in Channelview

CHANNELVIEW, Texas – Authorities are looking into a deadly crash on the East Freeway Wednesday night involving a construction truck.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. when Harris County deputies said a driver crashed into a construction truck on the East Freeway service road in Channelview. It’s unclear what led up to the crash, but we know the driver died at the scene.

Investigators said a construction truck driver was also hurt and taken to a local hospital, last said to be in stable condition.

The roadway was shut down for hours after the crash, but has since been open.
