WANTED: Up to $5K reward for info on Channelview shooting suspect

Crime Stoppers and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division are asking for the public’s help in locating a fugitive wanted for murder following a fatal shooting in Channelview last month.

Authorities have identified Robert Warner, 45, as the suspect in the May 23, 2025, shooting death of Gilbert Rubalcava.

According to investigators, the two men were involved in a verbal altercation in the 16000 block of Avenue C that turned deadly when Warner allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot Rubalcava, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Warner is described as approximately 5’9” tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and tattoos on his neck.

Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to Warner’s arrest.
