Convicted felon arrested after allegedly breaking into car in attempted bank jugging

A Houston man believed to be involved in a bank jugging burglary was taken into custody.

On June 7, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office Special Operations Unit conducted a traffic stop in the 10200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive.

They stopped a bank jugging suspect who was believed to had shattered the glass of a car window in search of money.

The deputies identified the driver as Chikei Williams, a previously convicted felon. In his car, deputies found a ski mask and a window punch, a tool commonly used for breaking car windows.

Williams was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for burglary of a motor vehicle and possession of unlawful use of a criminal instrument.

His bond was set at $200.
