Dog attack in Spring (Harris County Pct. 4 Constable's Office)
SPRING, Texas – Law enforcement says a woman has been taken to a hospital after she tried to protect her dog from another dog and was attacked in the process.
The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office said it happened in the 23500 block of Wintergate Drive in Spring.

According to Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman, the woman was walking her dog when another dog, described as a pit bull, attacked her dog.
The woman attempted to separate the two dogs when the pit bull turned on her, biting her and, according to Herman, ripped her finger off.
The woman was taken to a hospital. Deputies have made contact with the owner of the pit bull and animal control has been contacted.
