Swimmer still missing after suspected drowning at Surfside Beach; mother pleads for help

The mother of 20-year-old Christian Jackson is pleading for help as the search continues more than three weeks after he disappeared while swimming at Surfside Beach.

Jackson was last seen on Monday, May 26. He is described as Black, 6’4” tall, weighing around 150-160 pounds, with a slim, athletic build. He was wearing blue swim trunks with white flowers.

“I’m just trying to obtain some closure,” his mother said in a message to KPRC 2. “I don’t know if he is hurt somewhere or maybe showed up in a nearby jail or hospital, or maybe his remains washed up in another city.”

Search crews and volunteers have been canvassing the beach and surrounding areas. Texas EquuSearch is asking residents and visitors to stay vigilant and report any possible sightings or clues.
